Yet another my MusicThemed FightingGame fanart (and not the last one), this time, with MK4 characters on some Extremely Heavy Metal Concert. What group playing on the stage? I guess «Wrath of Kahn and OutWarriors» or something just as original. Following logic, Shinnok is one who should be on the stage, but I still can’t take him seriously, he is so secondary and boring.

I chose Reiko and Tanya as central characters because there is not so much fanart for their original appearances, and also idea of "Tanya really loves to sit on someone’s shoulders" was basic for picture. At first I planned to draw just black and white cartoonish doodle, but later decide to make full-scaled (in my scales, of course) tribute, because MK deserves it given that when I was a kid, MK was more popular, then all others fighting games combined. I still don’t believe that "console exclusiveness" was worth of loosing PC's segment for MK9.

Also, there is Noob Saibot on this picture! Can you find him? No, you can't. He stands between Liu and Reptile and totally unseenable.

I didn't use any special techniques, coloring pictures pretty standard way. There are 4 basic layers I create in photoshop: layer with my line-art of the picture (you can put scans here), layer above is for flat colors (it should be set as "multiply" layer, in that case you can paint over your line-art, without "erasing" the lines of lower layer), next one - for shadows, this one also shoud be "multiply" (you can use any shades depending on situation. You can vary softness of your shadows by using brush with opacity lower, than 100%), and fourth layer is for light-effects, I usually use "Overlay" layers for that purpose. And there is a ton of variations, you should try it out by yourself to find your optimal method.
